Hey Wedgie....I get it. The first time I ever sat in the front row at Maple Leaf Gardens I saw Mike Foligno break his leg and bring his career to an abrupt end.
I have been wondering what the plan for the "C" is going to be. I was thinking they were going to let Mathews mature, and give it to him once they know he is going to be the guy, and can handle the pressure. I think he has the personality of someone who would want it.
I never thought of giving it to someone like Reilly, or Kadri, but it could make sense. Kadri has had so many ups and downs with this organization, and has really worked hard to be the player he is. That kind of character is hard to come by.
I also think they have gone so long without one, that it could be their thing... Let the captain rise from the ranks, or have collective leadership, and keep everyone accountable.

Matthews will get the C. Kadri, Rielly should get A's, and one of Nylander or Marner will probably get the other A
